How to copy/paste from a DOS window? Print

Copy/pasting from a DOS window is one of those things that's very simple, yet annoyingly complicated to first figure out.

Highlight the text you wish to copy with the mouse pointer. (make sure you get everything.

Then, once it's all highlighted, hit the right mouse button. The highlight should then disappear. Once that happens, the data should be in the clipboard and you should be able to paste it into an email or a text file to show to us.

What's that? Highlighting doesn't work? Easy! :)

To fix that, right click on the top of the dos window and choose 'properties'. On the first screen you see, check the box that says 'quickedit'.

After that, it's one big copy/paste party in your DOS window!
